Auto-Editor App v6.3.0
November 6, 2026
- Captions in NLE mode, as in Premiere: caption tracks sit above the video tracks, where cues can be selected, moved, trimmed, split, merged, retyped, and deleted. A Captions tab lists and searches them, creates them from the transcript or an .srt, .ass, or .vtt file, and exports a track as SRT.
- Exports carry captions as a subtitle stream, burned into the video, or as a sidecar .srt file. Burned captions take a font, size, colors, outline, background, and position, and the viewer shows them as they'll look.
- Color LUTs for Studio licenses: Timeline > Color applies a .cube LUT, with an intensity, to the preview and every export. Saved .bap bundles include the LUT.
- Full-resolution preview now comes with a Pro license, not only Studio.
- Paint, an image editor in its own tab, with a text tool: right-click an image in Media Sources and pick Paint, or double-click a still. Saves go into the project's bundle as PNG or JPEG, never over the original; Save As exports a file.
- Premiere's video transitions, and constant-power and exponential audio crossfades: pick a transition's type in Properties.
- Choose a transition's alignment in Properties: start at, center on, or end at the cut.
- Ramp a section's speed with keyframes, as Premiere's Time Remapping does, with Final Cut's retime presets. Sped-up and slowed sections show a retime bar.
- Burn subtitles no longer asks for a file: without one, it burns the media's own subtitles, kept in step through cuts and speed changes.
- Burned subtitles break lines by language.
- Japanese, Chinese, and Korean input methods show what's being composed in text fields.
- A Pixel Format choice in Advanced Video Settings, and colors are picked in Y'CbCr when the export is yuv420p. The menu shows the format the export will use instead of "(None)".
- .v3 timelines open from Finder or Explorer, including timelines made only of generators.
- Tone generators show their waveform on the NLE timeline.
- The playhead steps by frames, and the ruler marks frames when zoomed in.
- A trackpad pinch zooms the timeline faster on macOS, and scrolls as fast in the web app as on the desktop.
- Files dropped onto Media Sources join the open project instead of starting a new one.
- The motion threshold is a percent of the frame instead of decibels.
- Final Cut Pro export versions are labeled FCPXML 1.11 and 1.10.
- NLE exports of a .v3 timeline render at the timeline's size and background, not its first file's.
- A centered transition at a clip that ends on its file's last frame no longer shows black after the cut.
- After transcribing an NLE project's media, the Transcribe tab finds its subtitles.
- Text on an edited NLE frame no longer disappears until a later render.
- A window closed on one display of a mixed-resolution setup reopens at the right size.
- Choosing from a list that hangs past a settings card, such as Pixel Format, no longer closes the card without applying it.
- Timeline highlights and handles no longer trail a frame behind scrolling and zooming.
- Subtitles with a cue that starts before 0, as an MP4 edit list or a hand-written sidecar can have, no longer break the edit.
