Every license includes 3 years of free updates. After that period, you may need to renew your license to run newer versions — but any version released during your update window is yours to keep and use in perpetuity. Your license never expires; only access to future updates does.
A renewal adds another 3 years of updates and costs 80% of the price of the tier you renew into — stay on the tier you own, or move up. Renew here.
Renewals open a year before your update period ends. Renew in that final year and the new period starts where the old one left off, so none of your remaining time is lost. There is no deadline: a license whose period lapsed years ago can still be renewed, dated from the day you renew.
While your update period is running you can also upgrade a tier for just the price difference. Once it has lapsed, a renewal is the way back — and since you can renew into any tier from your own upward, that is also how you move up.
